Mahogany Ecommerce Project
The BRD outlined the project scope with a very tight timeline of only a few months from scoping meetings to live. One of the bigger experience challenges to solve was the fact that there are three high-level paths users can take within the broader Mahogany.com experience; the e-commerce site (which lives on Adobe’s Magento commerce platform), Mahogany’s blog/community site (which lives on Wordpress), and Mahogany’s Watch & Listen landing page that serves as a content/resource page for Mahogany branded movies and podcasts. In collaboration with the Creative Director, we worked through header/nav options that would bridge a seamless gap between Wordpress and Magento. Settling on a global tabbing component that sits top left of all web pages providing users with system status, control, error prevention, and the illusion of a single-platform experience.
My responsibilities included wireframing, prototyping and dev support (pre and post launch) for the following areas on site:
• Checkout
• General Content Template
• PDP (Product Display Page)
• PLP (Product Listing Page)
• Search (Auto-complete modal & Results page)
• Shopping Bag (Mini Bag & Bag Page)
Mahogany Watch & Listen
My team works directly with Mahogany's Project Management Leader and provides ongoing support for updates and changes to mahogany.com/watch
